We have created a huge list of Creative Activities for Kids of All Ages, designed to give you and your child(ren) creative ways to fill their alone time, time with family and friends, at church, and in the neighborhood and community! Some are faith-based, some are not. All will keep boredom at bay.

Facts:

  • Getting kids involved in service and outreach is essential because it helps kids develop empathy, confidence, responsibility, and a sense of community.

  • Doing things together as a family strengthens bonds and creates lasting memories, giving them a sense of security and belonging. It also teaches teamwork and cooperation

  • Providing kids with purposeful, faith-centered experiences helps them stay engaged, encourages learning, and promotes healthier habits that nurture both body and soul.

Below are ten ideas, just to get you started. You can request the entire list by clicking HERE to request a download.

Things Kids Can Do by Themselves-

  • Sew a simple stuffed animal or doll from fabric scraps

  • Create a scrapbook of their favorite family memories, adding captions and drawings

Things Kids Can Do with Family-

  • Build a blanket fort and read a book, have a snack, or play a game inside it

  • Start a family garden where you can grow flowers or vegetables (*discuss how gardening relates to faith and stewardship)

Things Kids Can Do with Friends-

  • Have a “crazy hat day,” making and wearing silly hats

  • Have a cookie-decorating party, sharing your creations when you’re done

In the Neighborhood-

  • Host a toy or clothing swap event where neighbors can trade items they no longer need

  • Create welcome kits for new neighbors with helpful items and local information

At Church-

  • Create greeting cards to welcome new church members or visitors

  • Organize a game night at the church where families can come together for fun, fellowship, and community building

Encourage your kids to look beyond themselves and understand the needs of others. Give them real life connections with purpose and opportunities.
